What makes it special

By any standards, it is an incredible achievement to serve a huge menu of Bengali dishes at a large restaurant to a mostly Bengali clientele and still be packed out every night. This restaurant has broken the old restaurateur’s rule that people won’t dine out for dishes easily prepared at home. Despite its lack of extravagance, the restaurant thrives on the simplicity of serving excellently cooked, traditional Bengali fare.
