What makes it special

This is the restaurant that took innovative Indian cuisine south of Vindhyas. Considered a huge risk at the time, the team at ITC Grand Chola persisted with trying to create a new culinary idiom that took South Indian flavours (if not actual dishes) and built a whole new cuisine around them. The Chennai original has been hugely influential and new branches have come up in Kolkata and Mumbai.
