ABOUT
Chalapathi Rao spent 15 years with ITC hotels, during which time he worked in the kitchens of the company’s Dakshin restaurants. Then, he struck out on his own opening Simply South in Hyderabad which serves the food of India’s Southern states.
The restaurant has been an instant success because of the high quality of Rao’s cooking. He is the chef’s chef, highly respected by his contemporaries. Rao is now a celebrity after starring in the Telugu version of Masterchef.
