Vishal Shetty modestly says that she is not sure she belongs on any list of top chefs because she oversees a kitchen that is dedicated to recreating traditional recipes, including those handed down in her family from generation to generation.
Along with her partner Divya Prabhakar, Vishal runs the Bangalore Oota Company which serves Gowda and Mangalorean cuisine. The restaurant does not accept walk-ins. You have to book in advance and you eat whatever the kitchen has made that day. Despite this, the Bangalore Oota Company is one of the city’s hottest restaurants.
